José Per Karlén,
Graduated from The Royal College of Art 2001 in London.
1998 He studied at Parson School of Art and Design in NYC as an exchange student. He currently works full time as an illustrator and author, graphic designer and art teacher. He has written several children’s books and received several awards in Europe.
His art appeals to children and adults alike. His intelligent and witty solutions often incorporate typography.
His clients show his range ; from IBM, WPP and Zurich Bank to London Fashion Week Harcourt.
Per was adopted from Guatemala, grew up in Sweden, and now divides his time between Stockholm and London.
Inspiration and favorites are: The Muppet Show and Keith Haring.
